As you may have heard, the Animal Legal Defense Fund released an undercover investigation of a pig breeding facility in Nebraska owned and operated by The Maschhoffs. But as a valued donor I wanted you to be the first to meet one particular pig--Penny.

Millions of animals suffer in factory farms every day, and sometimes it can be hard to truly understand the pain an individual animal goes through in the mass of chaos, cruelty and neglect.

Penny is just one of over four million pigs bred and handled by The Maschhoffs each year--but her story is extremely important, because it helps us remember that each of the four million pigs is intelligent, has their own unique personality and deserves a voice.

PETA. exposes PETCO... Petco, Petsmart, and many of the major pet supermarkets.. the story behind the scenes are very heart wrenching. I have included the updates in PETA's newsletter that has just been released. Many do not receive their newsletters or updates,but videos tell the stories. The most barbaric actions towards animals and what they have to endure in hands of some of the most barbaric HUMANS... Going Vegan is the way, but if one cannot totally go Vegan, then those who choose to eat meat, need to be accountable and choose the right meats in their diets. (free range, grass feed, being treated humanely). All of these factory farms, need to be investigated on a monthly schedule along with keeping and treating the animals humanely, free roaming, fed nutritiously, without any antibiotics or steroids. We are the only voice these animals have, we must unite and support organizations that are helping to educate the public that animals have rights TOO!!! and they too need to be treated humanely and with respect. Many of the animal organizations are also voicing their opinion on the benefits of going totally Vegan or at least leaning towards vegetarianism. ALL OF US MUST SPEAK LOUD AND CLEAR TO CORPORATE AMERICA... we are the voice for the voiceless... Mahalo

BREAKING NEWS!!!!..... I am sharing with everyone the update on the petitions signed regarding the YULIN FESTIVAL which will be occurring very soon.. Many of you may not receive the messages from Rewan Al-Haddad-Avaaz.. Please lets take this a step further and crash CHINA and let them know, people from everywhere in the world, feel this is the most barbaric, inhumane slaughter of our beloved pets ever known. For the Yulin dog meat festival, some dogs are stolen from their
owners and beaten or bled to death. Then they’re hung upside down from
hooks, a slit cut from their anus and skin ripped off their bodies,
and sold to be eaten.

The suffering must be unbearable -- new research shows that in terms
of emotion, dogs' brains are much like ours, something dog owners and
lovers understand well. When we see dogs for what they are -- living

BREAKING NEWS PETA............ I wanted to share with everyone the victories that we have accomplished during the year!!!! I have posted petitions, and stories on the help that is needed, for all animals, from marine life, to primates, lions, cougars, reptiles and our own dogs and kitties. These are amazing victories and always know that with your pen in hand (e.g. computer) our voices are heard 'LOUD AND CLEAR' We have done amazing feats, so please share and let everyone know that no living creature goes unnoticed. We will continue to fight no matter what the circumstances and with love in our hearts in doing so, they will know VICTORY!!!!!! Dangerous legislation in Colorado that would have secured a "right" for hunters and anglers to kill wild animals was defeated.
Air Transport Services Group told PETA that it's ending the transport of monkeys to laboratories.

Air France is now the last airline that continues to participate in this bloody business of transporting monkeys to U.S. laboratories. Breaking.... Mexican Gray Wolf (Lobo) is the world's most endangered gray wolf. As of today, 97 are clinging to survival in the Southwestern States. Please sign this petition, Facebook the representatives taking action against the Mexican Gray Wolf. Petitions work, but I know for a fact FB works double to state representatives. Dear Secretary Jewell,

As someone who cares deeply about wildlife, I am a concerned that the Mexican gray wolf is headed toward extinction, and I urge you to direct the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to take immediate action to improve the lobos' chance to survive and recover.

As you know, the 2015 end of year count in the U.S. found only 97 wild Mexican gray wolves, a decrease of 12% from last year. This is not a good sign in the only wild population in the world (there are fewer than 25 wolves in Mexico), particularly when the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service predicted an annual growth rate of 10%.

The genetic situation of the population is even more dire than the numbers suggest with the wolves on average as related as full siblings. It is imperative that the Service release more wolves from captivity to bolster both the genetics and the numbers.

The captive population has a greater diversity of genes than the wild population, so releases from captivity, if immediate and substantial, will begin to improve the genetic health of the wild population. But the longer this "genetic rescue" is delayed, the more difficult it becomes. There have been only four Mexican gray wolves released during the entire Obama administration. Delaying will invite extinction of the lobo.

We appreciate, Madam Secretary, your efforts to safeguard all of our endangered species. We ask that you direct the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to release substantial numbers of Mexican gray wolves this year and next - their survival depends on it.
