Breaking News... today!!!! Nellie's Free Range Eggs.. I really do not believe any egg distributor has free range. The only free range would be coming from a private party and that could be someone you may know or is local in your area... This is a disgrace in advertising and those retailer's who carry Nellie's and market the eggs free range should be ashamed that they would carry an item from such a dishonest farmer as Nellie's. PETA's eyewitness footage of a Nellie's Free Range Eggs supplier reveals that "free-range" and "humane" labels are nothing more than marketing ploys meant to mislead consumers. Despite the company's claims that the hens it uses are "always comfortable," we found hens who were tightly packed into a shed and whose access to the outdoors was severely restricted. The few birds who were able make their way outside could only roam on a narrow strip of ground, not in a lush green field like the one in Nellie's promotional video. "Free-range" should mean just that—free to roam outside unrestricted—but the reality is far different. Hens still suffer and are subjected to crowded conditions and inhumane industry practices, such as debeaking, that are common on factory farms. And all hens raised for the egg industry are killed at the same terrifying slaughterhouses when they are no longer considered useful. Watch the footage from this exposé, share it with everyone you know, and find out how you can help birds who are suffering right now.
