Breaking News!!!!... Humane Society International has just announced that Mexico has banned all dog fighting throughout the Federal States. They had just headed up a team in Mexico and their first challenge was to ban all dog fighting. Their International team took on this huge campaign and fought everyday, with petitions, education on the severe cruelty, abuse, and deaths of this barbaric sport. Through the help of each one of us, that has signed the petitions, that were posted on FB and through my blog we now have an amazing VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Over 200,000 thousand were the voice to all fighting dogs in Mexico.. BRAVO!!!!! We need to continue to stand behind organizations that count on us to support them in all ways possible, as our voices speak very loud and clear for every animal on the planet...

We did it: Mexico, just this week, passed a nationwide ban on dogfighting!

This is a fantastic win for animals and we're proud of our team in Mexico City who took this on last summer in a big way, just after establishing our new office there. In fact, it was one of their first major campaigns.

But they didn’t accomplish this alone. Because you and thousands of compassionate people cared enough to take action, Humane Society International/Mexico gathered more than 200,000 signatures on its petition calling for a federal law to stop these bloody competitions, which they delivered to the government.

And you we were heard.

This reform mandates that the Mexican Federation, the Federal States, and Mexico City penalize dog fighting within one year.

The ban is a big step in the right direction, but the battle isn’t over. Humane Society International will continue to push for criminal penalties, which we expect soon. We hope you’ll continue to stand with us.

Please share this good news with family and friends:

More petitions, will be sent lets all sign them, we must stop this severe barbaric action against all dogs.  We must take a stand and demand severe penalties against those who train dogs for fighting not only in Mexico, but throughout the nation.. Mahalo
