LETS STOP THE LAS VEGAS TROPHY HUNTING ACTION                 ACT NOW, SIGN AND SHARE, MAHALO African elephants are disappearing – but this week, a Las Vegas hotel is allowing the highest bidder to buy permits to hunt, kill, and stuff elephants and other animals. If we act now, we can stop this disgusting event. Sign the Care2 petition demanding the hotel cancel this bloodthirsty conference and refuse to host future trophy hunting auctions. This week's auction is hosted by Safari Club International, the club that Cecil the Lion's killer is a part of. The event is billed as the "Ultimate Hunter's Market" and trophy hunts are its main attraction. 301 hunts would be auctioned off, targeting 600 animals including the Iberian red deer, Australian water buffalo, and African elephants. These hunts end in the slaughter and dismemberment of animals that are in dire need of protection. But instead they are being billed as luxury trips, at a starting price of $75,150. We can only stop this week's event and its yearly return if enough of us pressure the hotel's management to cancel the auction. The media is already covering the auction, and if thousands of signatures start flooding the hotel's inbox, we can show the hotel's management that supporting animal slaughter is not in its best interests.
