With so much going on I wanted to get in touch to make sure to update you on our latest campaigns. We’re fighting cruelty on many legal fronts, and making steady progress on many cases, in addition to filing new ones.
We filed a new lawsuit to expose the senseless slaughter of Bison in Yellowstone Park, immediatelyincreasing public awareness of the cull. Our case against a Florida monkey breeding facility is going to trial, and we’re looking forward to arguing the case in court. We issued a reward offer in connection with the death of a pit bull found taped up, wrapped in a carpet, and left on the side of the road in Northern California. And we’re continuing to fight the factory farming industry in our campaign against Ag-Gag laws. Your support makes these and our many other battles for justice for animals possible.
Our new case against Yellowstone Park is already making an impact. Our January 26 filing generatedmultiple stories in the press and a groundswell of public outrage. We are representing Journalist Chris Ketcham and bison advocate Stephany Seay, and our legal argument is that because these individuals would be barred from entering the park to document the slaughter of these bison, their First Amendment rights are being violated. This case is a great example of how we must sometimes creatively leverage the rights of humans to gain a foothold for a legal argument that would expand the rights of animals. We suspect that access to the slaughter is denied to journalists and activists because if ordinary people found out about this cruel and unnecessary practice, they would not stand for it. Our hope is that through this lawsuit we can show taxpayers how their dollars are being spent to harm animals. Through exposing this wasteful spending, our aim is to ultimately stop the practice of regularly killing bison in the park.

Another area we could use your support is in helping us spread the word about the dangers of cold weather to pets and other animals. Every winter countless animals suffer and die as a result of being left outside in the cold. While progress is being made to update laws to protect animals from the cold, we know that many animals are still being left outside in the snow. Help us spread the word by sharing our cold weather resource with your social network, and learn more about what the law says about protecting animals from cold weather.
As always, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. We truly couldn’t do this work without your support.
For the animals,

Breaking News!!!! Amazing Rescue Humane Society International... another dog meat farm SHUT DOWN!!!! I have included their press release and please go to their page and see first hand what they do everyday...https://youtu.be/lrcJk03Z46Iay... Please view wonderful to see first hand!!!!!!

Humane Society International rescues across the oceans in all countries, throughout the world.

Human Society International is the only rescue internationally, that works to protect all animals, including wildlife, marine life, laboratory animals, factory farming and of course our companion animals.  During the past months, of 2015 to 2016, they have been shutting down dog meat farms.
This is an ongoing movement for everyone, as many of the Providences throughout China, Korea, Philippines and many other countries factory farm dogs for the meat trade. Dogs are plentiful, and their meat is prime.  It is an idea we cannot phantom in our minds whatsoever, to them it is a way of life, as raising chickens.

I do not know if any of you have ever witnessed such abuse, cruelty, and/or violence against any animal, it is the most gut wrenching and heartbreaking and throbbing experience anyone can ever encounter. I have witnessed such violence, both in our companion animals, livestock, baby goats, horses, calves and camels.  You fear nothing to save these animals, your heart says JUST DO IT!  I will tell you straight on, you only know that you cannot let this happen, so you do it, no matter what
the circumstance and you gather yourself, your thoughts, your heart and help will be there when needed. My entire soul goes out to this marvelous group of rescuers, ambushing trucks of dogs going to be slaughtered and going in shutting down these horrendous farms.  You need many  aspects to your ambushing and sometimes, you go in, without thought sometimes. I am glad they are including an educational package, so these farmers and their families will be educated on other means of agriculture and or business.  Every rescue definitely needs enough rescuers on the ground to save every dog, cat, horse or other animals.
"WE ARE THEIR VOICE AND THEIR SAVIOR" they are depending on us to ensure shelter, food and love.

All the dogs, saved in this rescue are now on their way to the US for safety, care, medical and eventually up for adoptions.

BRAVO HUMANE SOCIETY INTERNATIONAL and to all of the organizations to rescue everyday..  ASPCA, PETA, Northshore Animal League, Humane Society of the US, and all the rescues the 501c3 to help everyday to SAVE and PROTECT

BREAKING NEWS.... ASPCA, Amazing Rescue... After rescuing over 700 animals from Hoke County, North Carolina, another call came in for severely abused, neglected and dead animals on the ground at another farm, and/or shelter in Bell, Florida, Gilchrist County.

ASPCA, continuing to rescue and shelter another 50 animals in Gilchrist, County, Bell Florida.

ASPCA after their largest rescue ever in 150 years since incorporated, they were back in the field after an investigation was initiated by a person living near by. Apparently a dead horse was noted in the front yard and many emaciated dogs living in filthy crates. Gilchrist County Sheriff then reported the demise of this home and animals.

ASPCA responder's arrived on the scene hours after being alerted to this grave situation and worked through the night to assist law enforcement in removing and transporting the animals to safety. The condition of the 47 dogs, 4 cats and one horse living was very critical:  There was no food on the property, and many of the victims appear to be emaciated and suffering from untreated medical issues.

The animals now have shelter, food and will be medically treated for various illnesses, skin conditions and more.

IF ONE WISHES TO HELP WHETHER IT IS FOR FOOD, BLANKETS, BOWLS, OR HELP WITH A MONETARY DONATION, PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!  MAHALO,

Update from the Center of Biological Diversity, less than 3hours ago.. Wolves are in danger and government officials of Idaho, won't stop until all wolves are slaughtered. "EXTINCT IS FOREVER' Mahalo

2:18 PM (3 hours ago)

The federal wolf-killing machine is cranking up again in Idaho.

Today the Center for Biological Diversity sent me this update learning, that the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Wildlife Services plans to send gunners in helicopters to shoot wolves in the Lolo Elk Management Zone of the Clearwater National Forest.

This is happening as the number of wolves gunned down, trapped and poisoned since 2011 surpasses 4,000 dead -- more than half of them in the state of Idaho alone. The Center is worried this month will be a repeat of last February, when 19 wolves were shot by aerial gunners in the Lolo.
Anti-wolf militants have made it clear that they won't stop until nearly every wolf in Idaho is gone, and they have powerful friends ready to spend taxpayer money to help. The Idaho Legislature is right now budgeting another $400,000 to kill wolves in the 2016-17 fiscal year. Last year similar funding was used by the state to kill 72 wolves at an estimated cost of more than $7,000 per animal -- and that's on top of the 250-plus killed by private hunters during the 2014-2015 season. These people have NO humanity in their hearts, they kill to kill and they are willing to spend a fortune to slaughter one of the most intelligent and social species, in our wildlife.

They need our help to stand up for wolves and they know how to make this happen. They have defeated wolf-killing proposals from the Great Lakes to the Pacific. They did win in Idaho, the deadliest place in America for wolves -- just last year when they forced the state to abandon its plans to send a trained wolf killer into the Frank Church/River of No Return Wilderness

We all need to support the Center and become part of  the Predator Defense Fund to defend wolves from the statehouse to the courthouse.  I have become a member sometime back, and I know we all need to show our support. "WE OUR THEIR VOICE'
They have the best in seasoned lawyers, scientists and activists which are  the best defense that our wolf families have.  Please click on the Predator Defense Fund and join, lets make this happen for our WOLVES.  Mahalo

Federal Judge Sentences Lumber Liquidators to Probation, $13 Million in Fines for Smuggling Timber

Federal Judge Sentences Lumber Liquidators to Probation, $13 Million in Fines for Smuggling Timber: Earlier today in Norfolk, Virginia, U.S. District Judge Raymond Jackson sentenced Lumber Liquidators to five years of probation and more than $13 million in penalties for smuggling illegal wood products into the United States. This agreement, reached by the company and federal prosecutors, represents the largest fine ever issued under the Lacey Act, a landmark environmental law banning the import of illegally sourced timber.

AMAZING VIDEO OF THE UPDATED RESCUE IN HOKE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA,

I have enclosed for those of you who do not receive updates from ASPCA, the newest videos of the Amazing Rescue of 700 animals. This was the largest rescue ASPCA has done in their 150 years. More than 340 dogs and 280 cats—as well as horses, pigs and birds—were removed from the sprawling, dilapidated property. Kittens were so neglected that their fur was covered with feces. Dehydrated dogs had nothing to drink but contaminated water with a dead rat floating on top. These animals have had the worse abuse, neglect and abandonment that they at the ASPCA had seen. I would hope that the proprietors of this No Kill Shelter be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Everyday these organizations work tirelessly to save all animals, from abuse, neglect and torture. ASPCA, PETA, Humane Society of US, Humane Society International, Northshore Animal League (Animal League.org) which is the largest "NO KILL" in the world. To all the rescue operations throughout our nation, in every state and country, this is the hardest job, not only physically, but mentally, emotionally and definitely the hearts of every single one. I know that my heart breaks, as so do your hearts, each and everyone of you. However we do know Happy Endings can come, through supporting our special rescue, networking, educational programs, foster care and ultimately adoption. Please view the video, but it can be disturbing at times.!! Mahalo

Please sign this PETITION AND SHARE!!!! We can change the outcome and stop 600 animals to be slaughtered by Trophy Hunters. REMEMBER "EXTINCT IS FOREVER" Trophy Hunters kill with malice and it is a competition between men. Sadly our beautiful Elephants will be slaughtered, their offspring left to die. If we can stop this Las Vegas Hotel, we put a message out that we will not stop until all our precious wildlife throughout the WORLD are SAFE! Mahalo

LETS STOP THE LAS VEGAS TROPHY HUNTING ACTION
ACT NOW, SIGN AND SHARE, MAHALO
African elephants are disappearing – but this week, a Las Vegas hotel is allowing the highest bidder to buy permits to hunt, kill, and stuff elephants and other animals.
This week's auction is hosted by Safari Club International, the club that Cecil the Lion's killer is a part of. The event is billed as the "Ultimate Hunter's Market" and trophy hunts are its main attraction. 301 hunts would be auctioned off, targeting 600 animals including the Iberian red deer, Australian water buffalo, and African elephants.
These hunts end in the slaughter and dismemberment of animals that are in dire need of protection. But instead they are being billed as luxury trips, at a starting price of $75,150.

We can only stop this week's event and its yearly return if enough of us pressure the hotel's management to cancel the auction. The media is already covering the auction, and if thousands of signatures start flooding the hotel's inbox, we can show the hotel's management that supporting animal slaughter is not in its best interests.
Thanks for your support,
Jen and the Care2 Petitions Team

Amazing Rescue update!! ASPCA is conducting a massive rescue operation in North Carolina, Hoke County. This major rescue was on the request of the Hoke County Sheriff Department. More than 270 dogs, 200 cats and over 30 horses were living in deplorable kennels, paddocks and cages. Complaints came pouring into the sheriff's department regarding the conditions at this one no-kill rescue shelter. ASPCA has been on the front lines for more than 150 years working tirelessly everyday to rescue, care and re-home. Animal abuse continues to be a very serious problem, and every abuser should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. A National Registry of animal abusers, as with children, should be a mandate is every state in the union. Fighting to save all animals is an uphill battle for all the organizations who investigate, rescue, care and re-home, dogs, cats, horses, and other livestock. It is time, that we stand behind and invest in the organizations that we trust, to help solve the problems of so much animal abuse, from domestic to all wildlife throughout the world. We who have chosen to stand up, protect and save, we as "Angels of Kindness" need to incorporate educational programs from childhood to adult, on Abuse, Foster Care, Adoption and the importance of the Spay/Neuter programs available. 'WE ARE THEIR VOICE'' lets make it "LOUD AND CLEAR" that we are here to make a life-changing difference! Mahalo

MY KONA, rescue Big Dog Ranch, Wellington, Florida

ASPCA is assisting in the rescue of nearly 600 severely neglected animals from an unlicensed North Carolina No Kill animal rescue. This is one of the largest animal seizures they have ever conducted and they are working hard and fast to provide care and shelter. There are more than 270 dogs, 200 cats, and more than 30 horses and other animals.

It will be a long road for all these animals to full recovery and I hope all of them will receive all the care available. With a bit of time, caring, patience, all of these animals will hopefully learn to trust   humans again.

Everyday of the year, we all help to rescue, care and re-home animals who have been exposed to abuse, violence and pain.  Can we not help to create.....

Activists Sue for Right to Witness the Slaughter of 900 Buffalo whose sanctuary is Yellowstone National Park! Animal League Defense Fund (ALDF) and 2 Attorneys from the University of Denver and one private attorney from Wyoming are coming together on behalf of the author of this article. These CULLING activities is taking place on public land, being conducted by public officials, and they are being paid with public funds. This matter, as well as all matters involving public lands, whether it is our wild horses and now our Bison, is definitely of public interest.!! Please share, and stand with ALDF and others to stop this brutal slaughter, there are other measures to consider instead of always "KILLING WITH MALICE INTENT" Mahalo

Government's Slaughter of 900 Buffalo

Conservationists argue that the killing of a fifth of Yellowstone's bison to stop the spread of a disease to cattle is unnecessary and brutal.

David Kirby has been a professional journalist for 25 years. His third book, Death at Seaworld, was published in 2012.
Government officials are about to round up and slaughter up to a fifth of the wild buffalo in Yellowstone National Park, but they have blocked access to the areas of the park where the killings will take place.
Now activists have filed a lawsuit in federal court that argues that the public has a First Amendment right to witness and document the controversial cull, which is designed to stop the spread of a disease from buffalo to cattle.

“This winter, approximately 600 to 900, or about one in five, of these bison will be shipped to meat processing facilities for slaughter,” according to the lawsuit, which was filed against the National Park Service by the Animal Legal Defense Fund, two law professors at the University of Denver, and a private attorney in Wyoming on behalf of journalist Christopher Ketcham and wild-bison advocate Stephany Seay. “Because the culling activities take place on public land, are conducted by public officials and are paid for with public funds, [they] are matters of significant public interest.”
The park service blocked full access to the cull in 2006. The public will be allowed to attend three “organized tours” during this year’s cull, which begins on Feb. 15. But opponents say the facility will not be operational during one of the visits and that past tours only showed bison in their holding pens, not the roundup, sorting, testing, and transport of the animals to a slaughterhouse.

Bison that migrate out of Yellowstone National Park in the winter and spring are driven back into the park by federal and state officials, who say it's to keep bison from infecting livestock with a disease that causes pregnant cows to abort. Critics say it's about keeping bison off grass intended for cattle. (Photo: Myung J. Chun/'Los Angeles Times' via Getty Images)
Such “denial of reasonable public access” violates the Constitution’s First Amendment, wrote attorney Jamie Woolsey.
Alan Chen, a University of Denver law professor who is representing the plaintiffs in the suit, said the U.S. Supreme Court and other courts “have suggested that the First Amendment doesn’t just include a right to speak. There’s also a related right of the public to have access to important government institutions.”
A park service representative said the agency does not comment on pending litigation.

“Here we have an event of enormous public significance, and the park service seeks to close it off to public scrutiny,” Chen said. “The American people should be able to debate about this, but they can’t do that without access to the essential facts.”
Those facts are disturbing to wildlife advocates.

Each year since 2000, thousands of Yellowstone buffalo have been rounded up as part of theInteragency Bison Management Plan. Once captured, they are “abused and killed through hazing, hunting, scientific experiments, and capture-for-slaughter operations,” the Animal Legal Defense Fund said in a statement.
Why are park service officials killing animals they are mandated to protect? It’s purportedly to prevent the spread of the Brucellosis abortisbacteria to cattle that graze on public and private land adjacent to Yellowstone. The bacteria can spread among cattle and cause cows to abort their calves.
Federal officials say that 40 to 60 percent of Yellowstone bison have been exposed to the bacteria. More than 40 percent of those animals show active infection.
Fifty bulls were tested in 2010–11. Only three had the virus in their semen, according to afederal study.
Seay said wild bison don’t breed with domestic cattle.
“The more that people oppose this slaughter, the more secretive Yellowstone has become,” she said. “If people saw what’s going on, they would be outraged knowing that the people who’re supposed to protect these animals are actually participating in their suffering and killing while catering to livestock interests.”
