Breaking News......... I have received an Action Alert to view the globally the most recent documentary GOD'S IN SHACKLES.... Please view and take the time to share this amazing documentary. These are heartless and inhumane actions against one of our Endangered Species our Elephants.. This is an expolitation above anything I have ever seen or witnessed. Please please take the action needed and stop wearing blinders, pull your hands away from your eyes and see the facts of the severe abuse this amazing species endures in captivity and the dark side of the festivals in India.. We are their voice, we are the only ones that have the ability to stop these atrosocities to all animals and our Wild and Endangered Species held in captivity...

ACTION ALERT

Dear Tia,
PETA invites you to watch the globally acclaimed, United Nations nominated documentary Gods In Shackles for free during a special screening starting today- October 25 through October 31. Produced and directed by the award winning journalist and filmmaker Sangita Iyer, Gods in Shackles reveals the dark side of India’s glamourous cultural festivals that exploit temple elephants for profit behind the veil of culture and religion.

To watch, click on this exclusive link. And using this special link, 20% of all merchandise proceeds will go to PETA.

See how elephants are taken from their homes in Indian forests to be used as props at festivals and tourist traps. Torn away from their families as babies, they are isolated and viciously beaten to break their spirits. They are so malnourished, neglected, and abused that they become emaciated, their trunks may become paralyzed, they may go blind, and the flesh on their legs is almost always cut open, bleeding, and raw from heavy chains.
These majestic animals were once captured and sold into our entertainment industry for circuses, zoos, and elephant rides. They are the ones being forced to breed the next generation of captive elephant performers in the U.S. In this tourist fueled industry, awareness is vitally important to protect and preserve Asian Elephants-who are an endangered species.

After watching the documentary, please spread the word about Gods In Shackles on social media, and forward this email to your friends and family.
For all animals.
Sincerely yours,

John Di Leonardo, M.S.

Breaking... Tony the Tiger dead.. ALDF did all they could to remove Tony from this hell and the cell he was confined to for most of his life. Roadside Zoos need to be shut down and owners should prosecuted for keeping wild animals in JAIL cells, giving them no ability to roam and refusing to feed them nourshing food and the proper food to sustain life. He lived in Hell for many years, and ALDF had many courtroom battles. He is free now and I am sure he knows how much he was loved by all anima advocates andl caregivers and definitely by the whole team at Animal Legal Defense Fund. They have updated their newsletter and there are many new battles happening all in the name of ANIMAL JUSTICE... Bravo Stephen and your team in continuing to battle for Animal Rights and prosecuting the offenders to the fullest extent of the LAW!!!!!

Setting Our Sights on Iowa’s Ag-Gag Law
This month we filed a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Iowa’s Ag-Gag law, which criminalizes undercover investigations at factory farms and slaughterhouses, effectively silencing advocates and ensuring that animal cruelty goes unreported. Animal Legal Defense Fund-lead coalitions have successfully sued to overturn Ag-Gag laws in Idaho and Utah—Iowa’s law is next.
Carolina Dog
Taking Another Puppy Mill to Court
This month we continue our fight against puppy mills with a lawsuit to shut down California Carolina Dogs for illegally operating a puppy mill. It doesn’t take a lawyer to see that treating animals like cash crops is wrong, but it does take a good team of lawyers to get a puppy mill shut down. Learn more about this new lawsuit.
